Red Cross Opens Additional Shelter for Flood Victims

In response to last night’s severe thunderstorms, the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area is opening a shelter at Glenview Middle School, 3100 7th Street, East Moline, IL. Families seeking shelter are urged to bring bedding and necessary medications with them to the shelter. The shelter will open at 11:30 a.m. today.
The Red Cross and Solid Rock Baptist Church have an additional shelter open in Wapello for residents in need. The shelter opened on Wednesday and will continue to remain open until further notice. The shelter is located at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 14041 Locust Street, Wapello, Iowa.
The Red Cross opened a shelter at the Bettendorf Community Center at 3:00 a.m. this morning. That shelter is now closed.
