CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, Sunday, June 22, 2008 – American Red Cross volunteers are finishing client assistance interviews at two sites in the Cedar Falls area. On Monday, June 23, the Red Cross will close two Service Delivery Sites at 6 p.m.

Residents who still have emergency needs are urged to call the Red Cross Information Line toll free at 1-866-GET-INFO (438-4636) to schedule personal interviews with trained disaster workers still in the area.

Service Delivery Sites will close at:
• 220 Brandilynn Blvd.; Mattress King building across from Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Cedar Falls
• 100 Wartburg Blvd., Waverly

Services will continue at:
• Westdale Mall, 2600 Edgewood Road SW, Cedar Rapids; former Osco’s store next to JC Penney
• American Red Cross of Quad Cities, 1100 River Drive, Moline, Ill.
Red Cross caseworkers are also driving through impacted areas of Mason City to meet with people as they begin their cleanup.

As the flooding situation continues to develop, the Red Cross will open Service Delivery Sites to serve affected residents. Individuals will meet one-on-one with trained caseworkers to determine the emergency assistance they can receive. Applicants for assistance should bring proof of their pre-disaster residency.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. You can help the victims of flooding and thousands of other disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.
